Preparing For Your Appointment
To help support safe, effective treatment:
- Shave the area 24 hours beforehand
- Do not wax, thread or tweeze between sessions
- Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and fake tan for at least two weeks before treatment
- Avoid retinol, acids and vitamin A products on the area for 5 to 7 days
- Arrive with clean skin free from makeup, deodorant, perfume and lotions
- Avoid intense exercise, saunas and other heat treatments for 24 hours beforehand
- Tell us about medication, medical conditions or recent skin treatments
Treatment may need to be postponed if the skin is sunburnt, broken or irritated.
Laser Hair Removal Aftercare
Temporary warmth or mild redness can occur after laser treatment and normally settles.
For 24 to 48 hours, avoid hot baths or showers, saunas, swimming and strenuous exercise. Keep the area clean and moisturised, and wear loose clothing where appropriate.
Avoid direct sun exposure for two weeks and use SPF 30 to 50 on exposed treated skin. Retinol, acids, scrubs, exfoliants and heavily perfumed products should also be avoided for around 5 to 7 days.
Hair may begin shedding approximately 7 to 14 days after treatment. Shaving is suitable between appointments, but waxing, threading and tweezing should be avoided.
